Help us keep publishing books and inspiring generosity
A lot of people wonder where we get the money for the Concord Free Press. We have expenses—printing, mailing envelopes, stamps and whatnot. We don’t receive any federal, state, or local funding. Our books are free, so we’re not generating traditional profits. And we’re not trustafarians, in case you were wondering.
So here’s where we get our funding:
- Contributions from People Like You—Believe in the Concord Free Press concept? Like our books? Enjoy being part of our ongoing experiment in reading and giving? Make a donation.
- Our Authors—Our authors retain all rights to their work beyond the initial CFP edition, but they give back 20% of any subsequent sales (commercial editions, foreign rights, film rights, etc.) to support the CFP.
- T-shirt Sales—We sell stylish CFP t-shirts, generating about $5 per shirt. Feel free to buy one (or several) here. You’ll be glad you did.
You can donate right here via PayPal
Or, you can support us the old-fashioned way by mailing a check to Concord Free Press, 152 Commonwealth Avenue, Concord, MA 01742. We’re a tax-exempt, 501 (c) (3) registered non-profit foundation. So your donation is completely tax-deductible. And it will enable us to keep publishing two books a year. For free.
